A pool which has been allowed to stand unattended over the winter takes a lot of time and chemicals to get right again come the Spring so the cost-savings gained by leaving your pool are minimal.
Long-term damage can be caused by allowing your pool to accumulate rubbish and algae as this can permanently stain the joints of tiles pools and leave a dark green water line on liners and clog the filters and equipment.
It is also not ideal for the pool equipent and pump to stand unused for extended periods of time and they can frequently struggle to recommence after a few months dormant.
Regular maintenance also picks up on any issues before they can become BIG problems. Apart from which – it is just plain unhealthy! A sparkling swimming pool is a great asset to any property – but only if it is maintained.
